Marcel Hensema

Marcel graduated at the prestigious Academy of Dramatic Arts in Maastricht. He played in dozens of theater productions at Het Noord Nederlands Toneel, Toneelgroep Oostpool and ITA. In more recent years he produced his own solo performances. He worked on over 120 films and series across Europe including Simon, De Marathon, Tokyo Trial and Spider in the Web. He has been nominated four times for a Dutch Academy Award (Golden Calf) and won twice for Wild Romance (2007) and Knielen op een bed violen (2016). From 2014 until 2020 he played the lead of Fokke in the highly esteemed and very popular NPO show Hollands Hoop. In Germany he worked on projects like Der Tod und das Mädchen and So Lout Du Kannst. He currently plays Frans Münninghoff in the successful show Legacy (De Stamhouder).
