Yannick started acting with theatre group DNA and appeared in several film- and television productions from a young age. In 2015 he graduated as an actor from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Maastricht. He was part of the cast in productions like Boy 7, De Held and Smeris. In theater he played in productions from Het Nationale Theater and Likeminds. He also starred in three solo performances, including Voor mijn kinderen with Likeminds. He continued in theater on Romeo & Julia by Toneelgroep Oostpool and A Seat at the Table by Arie de Mol. After that he shot many film- and television productions like In Blue, Hollands Hoop and Zuidas. In 2018 he got nominated for a Dutch Academy Award (Gouden Kalf) for the film Tom Adelaar by Gonzalo Fernandez. In 2021 he starred in the film Porfotto and the series Amsterdam Vice and Bonnie & Clyde. Last year he played the lead roles in the features films named Sputum by Dan Geesin, Femi by Dwight Fagbamila and Piece of my heart by Dana Nechushtan. For FEMI Yannick received his 2nd Dutch Academy Award nomination for best leading actor and the film is selected for the Warsaw International Film Festival. Besides that he starred in in the Dutch film Black Girl Magic for Videoland and the Belgian tv series Geldwolven for Amazon Prime and Streamz. This year he stars in the big primetime NPO1 series De Life by Topkapi Films. Yannick is selected as one of the 10 European Shooting Stars of 2023 and will participate to the Berlinale Film Festival as one of the most promising and up-and-coming actors from Europe.
